About Trendy Tech Tribe

An independent site about the technology you own or are about to buy: electric cars, home power, connectivity, the gadgets and the markets behind them. Every article lists its sources so you can check the numbers yourself.

How we work

Our buying guides and owner guides open with the answer, then show how it changes for your situation, then list the sources. Figures are taken from manufacturer documents, regulator filings and published tests wherever those exist, and the source list at the end of each article says where each one came from. When a guide has been re-checked after publication, it shows an updated date under the title.

We do not claim testing we have not done. Where a page draws on first-hand use, it says so in the text; everything else is presented as sourced. Product photos in our buying guides are manufacturer press images or credited photographs. Some links pay us a commission; they are marked as sponsored links in the page code, and the affiliate disclosure explains how that works.

Tech & Innovation

Devices and services people pay for: Starlink, portable power stations, phones, wearables. What they cost to run and which version to buy.

AI & Automation

New models, tools and policy, and what they change for the people using them.

EVs & Mobility

Owning and buying an EV, mostly Tesla: incentives, charging, winter range, warranty and maintenance costs, sourced from the manuals and the filings.

Money & Power

Electricity bills, fuel, chip supply and the companies behind your devices. Every story starts with what it costs you.

Picks & Reviews

Buying guides that open with the picks, built from spec sheets and credited photos.

The rules we write by

01

Answer first

Our guides open with the answer to the question in the title. The rest of the page shows how that answer changes for your situation.

02

Sources on every article

Each article ends with the list of documents it was written from. Re-checked guides show an updated date.

03

No claimed testing we did not do

First-hand use is stated in the text where it applies. Everything else is presented as sourced. Buying-guide photos are press images or credited photographs.

04

Affiliate links are disclosed

Some links pay us a commission. They are marked as sponsored in the page code, disclosed on the page, and explained in full on the affiliate disclosure page.

Who writes this

Two editors writing under pen names. What we stand behind is on the page: the sources at the end of every article, which you can check yourself.
