Which Mac mini Should You Buy? M6, M5 Pro and Memory
For most people, the $899 Mac mini with M6, 16GB of memory and 256GB of storage is enough. Pay $200 more for 24GB if you run many heavy apps at once, and choose 32GB or the M5 Pro if local AI is the point, because memory cannot be added later. The M5 Pro model starts at $1,699. For files that can live outside the Mac, an external SSD can cost much less than Apple's $500 upgrade.
